A CAS Creation

Evening peeps, hope you are well, today I have a card to share which is quite clean and simple, well for me anyway!
I am really enjoying making these kind of cards at the mo, and with my new Dew Drop inks, the colour combo's are endless!
For the background I have used Distress Inks, Tumbled Glass and Broken China, the hot air balloons are a free digi, to which I have added Glossy Accents and the sentiment and clouds are part of a cool set I got from ebay for just 99p, bargain!
I am quite pleased with the end result and look forward to making more of these inky creations!
Here's my card, hope you like it, thanks for stopping by!

CAS - Colours and Sketches

Afternoon all, thanks for stopping by! Now I know I don't usually post mid afternoon, but... after browsing Blogland for some inspiration I came across a fab challenge blog which I have not visited before, CAS - Colours And Sketches, where the current challenge really caught my eye, a colour combo:
and a sketch:
The only problem is the challenge ends in a couple of hours, so as I needed an Anniversary card for tomorrow, I got straight to work! Here's what I came up with.

The stamp is from a Kanban set, inks used are Dew Drops- Nautical Blue and Teal Zeal, Distress Ink - Peacock Feathers, sentiment is computer generated, hope you like it! I will be back a little later to share my DT card for this weeks challenge over at C.Inspirations.

Black and White + one

Evening all, tonight I have something a bit different to share, well for me anyway!
I tried to make this card CAS, not sure if I've succeeded, but no ribbon or embellishments in sight! The pretty flowers and leaves stamps are Kanban, I have used 'Peacock Feathers' distress ink for the flowers, the leaves are stamped with black versafine as is the Kanban sentiment, hope you like it!

Christmas Without Tilda!!!

Evening all, apologies for my lack of  blogging, but my life this week has consisted of work, shopping, wrapping and bed!
I just don't seem to have had any time spare!
So I finally managed to spend an hour in my craft room, and as the title suggests, I didn't go anywhere the Tilda's. After browsing over Pinterest I came across some stunning cards made using Distress Inks, so thought I would have a go!
The inks are Spun Sugar and Weathered Wood, although the pink snowflakes don't show up too good on the pic,  snowflake stamps and sentiment are from Kanban, ribbon and button from my stash and the background was made using my snowflake embossing folder, hope you like it!

A card to share - Finally!

Hello all, hope you are well and enjoying your weekend. I am heading off to work soon, so thought I would share a card before I go.
I seem to have lost my mojo this week, don't think I have posted a card for over a week so I thought I better get motivated!
I made this card with the challenge over at 'Simon Says Stamp N Show' in mind, where the theme is 'Summer Distress Inks'. Seen as how I have recently purchased this set I thought I would join in.
It's a pretty basic card but nice and colourful!
I have coloured the background with Salty Ocean and Cut Grass and made a flower using the Picked Raspberry, finished off with a sentiment from See D's some black ribbon and cardstock and a Butterfly from my stash, hope you like it!

More Inky Creations!

Evening all, hope you've all enjoyed your weekend, shame it's over so quickly!
Anyway, onto tonight's card, I've been playing with my distress inks again, I'm really enjoying trying new techniques, so here's my card, I've stamped some flowers, coloured them with distress inks and added glossy accents over the top, then used foam pads to give a bit of dimension.
I have made this card following the colour combo over at Playdate Cafe this week, hope you like it!

Here's my take on the inspirational pic!

35 again!

Evening all, just a quick post to share my latest creation with you.
This was ordered by my neighbour for his Mum, whom he says is very reluctant to admit her age, which has become a bit of a family joke, so he chose the sentiments, which he said are very fitting!
The rest was up to me, so here's what I came up with, I have used the same technique as on a previous card, colouring strips of card with distress inks then stamping over the top, the flowers are WOC and the sentiments are computer generated, the ribbon and buttons are from my stash, thanks for stopping by, hope you like it!

Something a little different

Evening all, hope you are well. Although I haven't made a post for a while I have been creating!
I have been searching the net for different projects using my distress inks, a few ended up in the bin, but here's my first creation, made using the colour combo over at The Play date Cafe which I feel is good enough to share!

The background is made by sponging different coloured inks onto strips of card then going over it with small flower stamps in the same colour. I then stamped some  Kanban flowers on the top with black ink, added some ribbon and gems and a small sentiment, and here it is! Not perfect but O.K for  a first attempt, if anyone knows any good tutorials using Distress Inks I'd love to hear, thanks for stopping by.
